BILLABONG XXL AWARDS PRESENTED BY MONSTER ENERGY
LIVE WEBCAST TONIGHT

Tune in to http://www.billabongxxl.com tonight, Friday 13th April at 7pm Pacific time (4am Paris time) for the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards presented by Monster Energy.

The votes have been cast, the big guns of big wave surfing have landed in California and the scene is set for a gala awards ceremony at the Grove Theatre, Anaheim which will decide the XXL winners for 06/07.

Giant rides in Mexico, Western Australia, South Africa, Tahiti, Basque Country (North of Spain), Southern and Northern California will highlight a monumental 12 months of big wave surfing. Europe is represented by Tahitian Manoa Drollet, nominated in two categories (Ride of the Year and Monster Tube) and Basque Asier Muniain, nominated in the Monster Paddle category.

Images of the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards will be available for TV on Monday 16th via satellite (details coming), and photos of the winners will also be provided for print media.

The Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards are presented by Monster Energy. Surfline is the official surf forecast and Verizon Wireless is the official communications provider. The event is sponsored by Surfing Magazine, Hawaiian Airlines and FUEL TV.

Cette année, deux européens sont nominés: le tahitien Manoa Drollet, dans 2 catégories (Ride of the Year and Monster Tube) et le Basque Asier Muniain (Monster Paddle). Les vagues surfées au Mexique, en Australie de l'Ouest, à Tahiti, au Pays Basque, au Chilli, en Californie du Nord et en Afrique du Sud illustrent l'évolution de la discipline.

Des images de la cérémonie et des vainqueurs seront disponibles pour la TV lundi 16/04 par satellite (coordonnées à venir) et des photos seront également disponibles pour la presse écrite.

Les Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards sont présentés par Monster Energy, Surfline est le site officiel de prévisions de surf, et Verizon Wireless est le fournisseur d'accès internet officiel. Surfing Magazine, Hawaian Airlines et FUEL TV sont également sponsors de l'évènement.
