As the competition season draws to a close Aritz finds himself in Hawaii with his place on the World Championship Tour still not completely secure. Every heat matters now... even when the waves don't show up. The Pacific goes flat but a journeyman like Aritz knows how to get'er done, swell or no -- something he proves by methodically dismantling his fellow competitors at the Reef Hawaiian Pro in Haleiwa. When the waves definitively go kaput Aritz gets a week of unscheduled vacation and takes advantage by diving, swimming in waterfalls, body surfing, and even riding a Wavestorm at different spots around Oahu.
