Many famous surf spots are policed by groups of dire, grumpy men who enforce a strict hierarchy in the water. Not Chicama. The locals here, named "Chicameros" became friends with Camille and Tom Juban when they show up to try to set a world record. They show the Frenchmen to catch the good wave, they help ferry them up the point in a boat, they act as witnesses for the record and of course, they all sur together. Friendliest locals ever? Certainly on film, anyway.
